Gary Young is a contemporary artist based in Dorset, known for dynamic acrylic paintings that celebrate the power of colour and texture. His work combines freeform mark-making with structural elements — grids, blocks, lines — that ground the chaos in order, creating pieces that are both instinctive and intentional.

Each painting is a visual conversation: between colour and space, between chance and control, between emotion and form. Whether you’re drawn to vivid, energetic palettes or more contemplative compositions, there’s something here to challenge and inspire.
